Thank You Men's Auxiliary, We Salute You!
The VFW Men's Auxiliary has been officially disbanded, nationwide, effective December 31, 2016.
At VFW Post 3137, our Men's Auxiliary has played a significant role as partners in comradeship, and has made a lasting positive impact for our Post, in so many ways, for over 10 years! Our Men's Auxiliary has always supported the needs of our Post with very generous monetary, furniture, fixtures, and amenities donations that have greatly enhanced all that we have for us to enjoy every time we visit "The Post on the Coast". The attached photographs are an example of the most recent donations made by the Men's Auxiliary, which include beautiful new awnings for the front and rear of our Post, a new rear door, kitchen air conditioner, and critical rear deck foundation repairs. Also, members of our Men's Auxiliary have also given personally by serving in key capacities such as Committee Chair and support members for our largest annual fund raiser, The Gene Johnson Golf Tournament, coordinating our Post logoed apparel sales, and serving on many committees in support of Post projects and fund raisers. Not only has the Men's Auxiliary provided so much for our Post, but they have also contributed to local and national veterans and community organizations, such as The Special Olympics, Local Veterans House, The Captain Cliff Fund, and the Wando Junior ROTC Club, along with many other deserving non profit organizations.
As we all move forward into 2017 at Post 3137, we will continue to encourage our Men's Auxiliary comrades to complete and submit their applications to transfer, and become members of The Auxiliary. Listed below are two ways that we recommend for you to fill out and submit your applications:
- Visit our website at www.post3137.org and click on the "join" button. All the information you will need is there, including a printable application.
- If you are a local member, you can simply drop by the Post to pick up and submit your application in person.
If you should have any questions concerning membership in The Auxiliary, please do not hesitate to email your questions to vfwpost3137@gmail.com, and we will answer them promptly, or feel free to contact our Post by phone at 843-886-6840 and we will put you in touch with a Post Officer that will gladly assist you.
It is with heartfelt gratitude that all of us at Post 3137 say thank you to all of our Men's Auxiliary members for your comradeship and the unselfish support that you have given to your Post and your community.
It has been an honor and pleasure to serve along side you, and we look forward to serving together in 2017 with all or most of you as members of the Post 3137 Auxiliary.
