Honoring Our Comrade Michael J. Kapfer

Michael Joseph Kapfer, DOB August 11, 1952, 64, of Isle of Palms, South Carolina, died Sunday, April 2, 2017.

Visitation and Services April 5, 2017

His Funeral Service with military honors will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2017 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 12:00 pm.

The family will receive friends Wednesday in the Mount Pleasant Chapel from 11:00 until time of the service.

Mike served in the US Army, June 1972 - June 1974 in the 11B20 Infantry and earned the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea). He was also VFW 3137 Post Commander 2003-2004 and Life Member. He was a car enthusiast and a member of the Corvette Club.

VFW Post 3137 Reception from 5:00pm - 8:00pm

In Mike's honor, the VFW will not open its doors until 5:00pm on Wednesday April 5, 2017.

From 5:00pm - 8:00pm for comrades and guests, Mike's sister, Lynn Paley of Towson, MD and family will be holding a reception at the post and knowing Mike loved BBQ, Sticky Fingers will be providing the food for a reception.

Come and share your stories, memories and honor Mike. The family has also requested in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: VFW Post 3137 1004 Ocean Boulevard Isle of Palms, SC 29451.
