Fellow comrade, life member and WWII Veteran, Calvin Coolidge Bayne, DOB September 19, 1924, 92, of Isle of Palms, South Carolina, died Monday, August 7, 2017.
Services Wednesday August 16, 2017
His service will be held August 16, 2017 at the Stella Maris Catholic, 1204 Middle Street, Sullivan's Island, SC 29482 from 11:00 am-12:00 pm.
Cal joined the Navy at 17 years old. He met his wife Betty on assignment in Moscow, and they married in 1957 in Newington, Connecticut. Moved to Isle of Palms, SC in 1963 after retiring from the Navy. He worked as a supply officer at the Navy Shipyard in Charleston and retired in 1987.

VFW Post 3137 Celebration of Life from 12:00pm - 2:00pm
In Cal's honor and to celebrate his life, the VFW will open its doors from 12:00pm - 2:00pm for family, friends, comrades and guests for a reception.
All are welcome to attend, tell stories and celebrate Cal's life.
If anyone would like to drop off a side or cover dish prior to the service, someone will be at the post to collect them starting at 10:00am.
