Next Fish Fry - Saturday September 16
Join us on Saturday September 16th for our monthly Fish Fry.
$10 per meal, includes Fresh Fried Fish, Tater Tots, Hush Puppies, Baked Beans, and Close Slaw. And of course you can get and enjoy your favorite beverages at the bar.
Volunteers make this happen, old crew and any new Volunteers, contact Bo @ (843) 224-8704. Fry crew, Serving crew, Kitchen crew, Trash crew...it's what we do.

Football - Cheeseburger in Paradise Party! Sunday September 17th
All members are invited to kick-off football with a Cheeseburger in paradise party!!!!!
Come on out for cheeseburgers on the grill - just $5 / plate from 1:00pm To 3:00pm.
Everyone that can bring a side dish or dessert to Share – greatly appreciated by all!!

VFW Post 3137 Monthly Post Auxiliary Meeting Reminder - Monday September 18
Members are encouraged to actively participate and hope you can attend. These meetings are an opportunity for everyone to stay in touch and be a part of all that we do at post 3137 to support our fellow veterans, their families, and the mission of the VFW.
Can't make the meeting but have ideas or suggestions for the post, email them to us and we'll make sure to address them.

On behalf of all of my fellow Post Comrades, we would like to send out a huge thank you to all of our Auxiliary Members and Volunteers for the fabulous job you all did to make our Men's and Women's restroom renovations happen. All of the materials and labor that was provided for these much needed renovations is definitely first class and is very much appreciated! This project is just another example of what we can accomplish at our Post when we all work together and strive to continue our efforts to make The Post on the Coast the best that it can be…none better!

2017 Annual Golf Tournament! NEW DATE - Sunday October 8th

The 2017 Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Sunday October 8, 2017 with tee time 9:00am. This is the largest fundraiser of the year and we always need the and support of our membership.
How can you be involved?
If you can't actively participate on the committee or make the event itself in September, ALL Donations are appreciated from members and sponsors.
$25, $50 or more. Every little bit goes a long way to supporting our mission. If you can, make a donation, write a check, make it out to "VFW Post 3137" and write Golf Donation on the Memo line.

1st Annual SEALKIDS SwimJam - NEW DATE - Saturday October 14
When Navy SEALs are given a task, they set immediately to work with a singular focus: completing the mission. Today's mission is inviting you to be a part of 1ST Annual SEALKIDS SwimJam fundraiser, a 5k open water swim competition and after party being held at the Windjammer, Isle of Palms on Saturday, October 14th, 2017.
Swim Schedule:
- 7:00 am - Volunteer Arrival
- 8:00 am - Race Packet Pickup For Swimmers
- 9:00 am - Safety Brief 9:30 am - Warm Up
- 9:30 am
- Opening ceremonies with presentation of colors by Wando High School's JROTC and National Anthem by Wando High School Chorus. Ocean side of Windjammer and VFW Post 3137.
- 10:00 am - Swim Race Start
- 12:00 pm - Swim Race Finish
- 12:30 pm - Awards Ceremony

At the conclusion of the day's competition, we cordially invite you to join us for an afternoon/evening benefit concert titled After-party at The Windjammer. There will be live music from Charleston's own Natty Grass Band, Triangle Bluegrass Band and local favorites The Blue Dogs. Also, we will have raffles, giveaways, tug-of-war and other interactive activities along with Navy SEAL guests. This is a family friendly event, so please bring the whole gang out to support the SEALKID Mission!
After-party Schedule:
