VFW Post 3137 Once Again Awarded "All State" Status
Thanks to our Comrades and Auxiliary Members efforts, Post 3137 has achieved the status and honor of being named a South Carolina All State VFW Post for 2017-2018 and previously 2016-2017. There are numerous National, State, and Local VFW requirements that must be met to be considered for this prestigious award and there are very few Posts that achieve this honor. The main focus of these requirements is to serve the VFW mission, our active duty members, all veterans, and our local community.
Congratulations to all of my fellow "Post on the Coast" Comrades and Auxiliary Members for your commitment and support of our Post, and for a job well done!

Valerie Trantham's Mother
For those who know Valerie Trantham, her mother passed away on Tuesday June 12, 2018 after a long and wonderful life. Valerie is an extremely active Auxiliary member, weekend bartender, VFW post Rental Coordinator and so much more.
A memorial service will be planned for sometime in the future. Our condolences to the family and utmost thanks to Valerie for all she does for the post.

Next on Saturday June 16 - from 6:00pm Until 8:00pm
Join us on Saturday June 16 for our monthly Fish Fry. Then every 3rd Saturday now through September.
$10 per meal, includes Fresh Fried Fish, Hush Puppies, Baked Beans, Close Slaw and desserts. And of course you can get and enjoy your favorite beverages at the bar.
VFW Post 3137 Monthly Post Auxiliary Meeting Reminder

Members are encouraged to actively participate and hope you can attend. Meetings are an opportunity for everyone to stay in touch and be a part of all that we do at post 3137 to support our fellow veterans, their families, and the mission of the VFW.

2018 Annual Golf Tournament Committee Forming Now!
The 2018 Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Sunday September 9, 2018 with tee time 9:00am. This is the largest fundraiser of the year and we're always looking for fresh new ideas and support from our membership.
It may seem a bit early, but the Golf Committee will be forming and meetings will start in early July to begin planning. If you're interested in being a part of this fabulous event, volunteers are always needed and appreciated.

Banquet Honoring Korean War Veterans

The Korean War Legacy Foundation is hosting an educator's conference on board the USS Yorktown at Patriots Point and would like to invite local Korean War veterans to be their honored guests at a banquet on June 25th.
