Important topics which affect you and the operation of our post, including business related items, post improvements, and upcoming social events are discussed and crucial decisions.

Annual Chili Cook Off!!!
Sunday February 9, 2020 from 3:00-6:00 PM
Participants should make a Crockpot of your favorite chili and arrive by 2:30pm. All members are welcome to bring their favorite chili. There is no need to sign up. Judges will first taste all chili's, and decide the winners. The winning chefs will be awarded prizes. Following the judging, everyone wins by having chili to warm you on these cooler days.
Side dishes or desserts are welcome.
Front Stairs Replacement Project Update
The Beach Access sidewalk has been closed, opened and closed again as we continue work to completion. The stairs were constructed, custom stainless steel handrails added, stained as weather permitted and non-slip treads added on each step. Turned out the handrails need to be replaced due to manufacturer not sending the correct Marine Grade Stainless Steel material so they are being re fabricated once more and should be done in the next week or so. Lights are also being added to each step and and down lighting on the platform. The end is in sight and the stairs will be safer and a first class product for years to come.

Elevator Out of Order - 28 Years of wear has it's Ups and Downs!
Unfortunately the elevator at the post remains out of order. Parts have been difficult for the service provider to source but have been ordered or fabricated. We're still hoping to have these repairs completed by the end of February.
While this too has been a major inconvenience for our staff, members and vendors, the repairs were necessary. Please be patient a little longer, we'll be ready soon for the busy season ahead.

Rent the downstairs of VFW Post 3137 for any type of celebration! Birthdays, Wedding Receptions, Graduations and Retirements!
Prices:
VFW Post 3137 Members (minimum 1 year member) $350.00/day.
VFW Post 3137 Members less than 1 year and other VFW Posts or Active Duty $450.00/day.
All Others $550.00/day.
