Coronavirus Updates VFW Post 3137

In light of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak, we have a few updates at VFW Post 3137. The post will remain open until such time as directed by state or local officials we are required to close altogether.  In accordance with the President and SC Governor, we are limiting access of larger crowds and advise social distancing. The following announcement impacts larger gatherings and any event which involves food handling in a public setting at our post.

1. Through the end of April, all scheduled rentals have been canceled. Those who had rental reservations will have the opportunity to reschedule at a later time or cancel with full refund.
2. Fish Fries which normally start the day of the Cooper River Bridge Run are canceled until further notice
3. Wednesday Wine and Cheese nights (meat and cheese spreads only) are cancelled until further notice
4. Friday Steak Nights are cancelled until further notice
5. Sunday Share-a-Dish are cancelled until further notice

These precautions now aid in flattening the curve for spread of Coronavirus.  The sooner this happens the sooner we can all resume normal schedules. As previously stated, we expect individuals to exercise common sense, follow recommendations from reliable sources and continue to use good judgment of risk to yourself and others.
