9/11 Patriot Day Remembrance Ceremonies

Friday September 11, 2020 - 8:45am and 5:30pm - Post Opens at 8:15am

Please join us in honoring the memory of those who perished in the Terrorist Attacks on September 11, 2001. There will be two ceremonies in order to accommodate schedules and support social distancing. The Post will open at 8:15 am for the morning event.

Monthly Comrades Meeting

Monday September 14, 2020 @ 6:30pm

Post 3137 Adjutant - Vicki Johnson accepted a new position with Fisher House in Columbia, SC and resigned as Post 3137 Adjutant. Congratulations to Vicki and we wish you much success in your new role. We are currently seeking a candidate for the position of Adjutant currently being filled by 2019-2020 Adjutant - Al Lowry. If you are interested in playing an integral role to support our post, please reach out to our Post Commander - Rex Brown.

Miss a meeting, miss a lot! Our meetings are always a great opportunity for everyone to stay in touch and be a part of all we do at post 3137 to support our fellow veterans, their families, and the mission of the VFW.  Important topics which affect you and the operation of our post, including business related items, post improvements, and upcoming social events are discussed and crucial decisions.

Due to Coronavirus the wearing of masks will be required for the meeting . The meeting will be held upstairs at the Post. Maximum capacity is 40 people.

Flag Retirement Ceremony

Saturday September 19, 2019 @ 10:00am

The Flag Disposal Committee members and volunteers will be sorting and properly preparing worn American flags for disposal. A retirement ceremony is held to properly retire the flags and the remains are buried at the base of the flag flying beach side of the post.

Member are welcome to assist or be present for the ceremony. Another great community service our post offers!

2020 Gene Johnson Memorial Post 3137 Golf Tournament

We have 14 Paid Teams Signed up for 27 Slots. Your Team is listed on the board only after payment has been received

Sunday November 1, 2020 - Shotgun Start at 9:00 a.m.

This year's Golf Tournament has been rescheduled and will be held on November 1st at the Wild Dunes Harbor Course with a check in at 8:00am and a shotgun start at 9:00am.

This will be the 21st anniversary of our golf tournament, and thanks to your partnership, it remains our most important fundraising event of the year and provides the funds necessary for our Post's Mission of "supporting our active duty military, our veterans, and our community".

Because of Covid-19, and in conjunction with Wild Dunes, we are taking the necessary precautions for all golf team members to enjoy a great day of golf on the Wild Dunes golf course. This is the perfect opportunity to get outside, have fun, and support a great cause!

Now is the time to put your foursome team together and reserve your spot in this year's tournament. All you need to do is visit our Post in person or visit our website at https://vfwpost3137.org/golf/ to get registration forms and make your reservations today.

The entry fee for each foursome this year is still $400 and payment is required for confirmation and appreciated at time of commitment.
