VFW Post 3137 Members vs Others Who Visit the Post

VFW membership is an honor and privilege as the largest combat veterans organization around. We're an elite group of veterans and Auxiliary members meeting the criteria of membership. ANY Veteran of Foreign Wars member and Active Duty personnel regardless of location are always welcome at 6,400 VFW posts worldwide.

VFW Post 3137 Comrades and Auxiliary members can and likely have an access key card to the front door entrance. Many members use the beach side entrance anyway and we simply ask that all other visitors without a key card use the beach side entrance as well. While there is signage to that effect on the front stairs landing, we are working to get better placement and clear signage at the base of the stairs to avoid any further confusion including elevator access as needed.

This is for the safety and effectiveness of canteen located by the rear entrance and staff who in their duties are usually the first point of contact with visitors to the post. It is their job if the visitor is unknown to them to request an ID card for verification. They should not have to leave the bar to verify someone at the front door.

Exceptions to this may when we may have open Public events and all the doors are accessible. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding of this policy.
