Comrade Pat Deweese Passing

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of fellow comrade and life member Ernest "Pat" E. Deweese. Pat passed away at 0145 this morning March 17, 2021 at the Trident Medical Center under hospice care on his 74th birthday.

Pat is a beloved member who was always upbeat and gave so much toward veteran causes despite his own personal battle dating back to Vietnam and agent orange effecting his lungs and deteriorating in recent years. For years he served as Post Surgeon, volunteered with the VA Medical Center, and loved volunteering at Patriots Point to share the Vietnam experience with visitors to our area.

Pat truly enjoyed his time in comradery with fellow veterans and friends at the Post on the Coast™. Only 3 days ago on Sunday March 14th, Pat, his family, and members had the opportunity to celebrate his favorite holiday and birthday at the post as pictured above.

Details surrounding services will be communicated as we learn more from the family.
