Visiting VFW Post 3137
High Visitor Demand as Summer Approaches
Interim Policy through June 14, 2021

As summer approaches, our post membership and popularity is growing fast. With our location, view and neighboring Windjammer summer concert lineups, visitor demand is rising. Assessments from recent events require measures to ensure VFW membership is honored and served due to the physical size limitations of our building and grounds. Until the June 14 comrade meeting when policies can be reviewed further and taken up by the membership, the information below is published on the home page of our website vfwpost3137.org. Any approved change or updates to these measures will also be published there. It reads as follows:
VFW Post 3137 building and grounds occupancy including inside, ocean deck and downstairs is 204. For the safety, comfort and well-being of VFW members, the post is open to all VFW Members and Active Duty Members with valid ID cards. All qualified who enter are permitted the following:
- VFW Post 3137 Members; Member+4 guests
- Visiting VFW members and Active Duty; Member+1 guest
- All Guests must be signed in by the sponsoring member and depart when the member departs.
We are not open to the public unless otherwise specified here.
Members must carry their VFW ID cards and present if asked. (Door key cards will no longer be recognized as proof of membership) On high volume anticipated events next door, wristbands may be required at the door and when the VFW capacity limit is reached, no more may enter. You may also see additional security at the post as needed.
