No December Meeting

Annual Members dues need to be paid by December 31. Your membership matters!

The Auxiliary will not have a December meeting due to the holidays. Have a safe and Merry Christmas!

Americanism Award - OneNation Coffee

Saturday December 12, 2021 @ 3:00pm

The next Americanism Award will be presented Sunday, December 12th at 3:00 pm to OneNation Coffee at Post 3137 on IOP. OneNation Coffee is a local coffee roaster who proudly donates a portion of their proceeds to support programs for Veterans, First Responders and their families.

OneNation will also join us for Sunday Share a Dish and offer tastings of their coffee. You can enter the raffle for a coffee gift basket to be given away that day as well. Raffle tickets are $5 each and are on sale at the post. All raffle money will be donated to the OneNation Foundation.

All members are welcome to attend. Please come out and support the Post and local businesses who show their patriotism and support Veterans.

Toys for Tots - VFW Post 3137 Donation Center

Collections Now through Saturday December 12, 2021

Our toys for tots box is back through December 12th. Please take the time to bring your unwrapped toy by our post so it will be ready for pick up.....you do not need to be a member to drop off a toy, bike or gift for a child to have for Christmas. All age ranges needed into early teens.

If anyone is interested in volunteering with Toys for Tots this year at the Toys for Tots Factory, you can do so any day of the week. Mon-Fri 11am-6pm, Saturday 10am-6pm. If you go, please remember to track your hours and mileage for service hours reporting.

They have a new location this year.

Keeping Members Informed of Post Activities

Communications is a challenging job and we need your assistance to keep everyone informed. We have a variety of communications tools at our disposal from word-of-mouth, meetings, internet, computers, smartphones, posting of events in the post, email, now WhatsApp and more.

If you the member or a committee have an event you want distributed by internet, email, social media, in the post etc.

PLEASE write it up with all the particular details of the news, WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, WHY, HOW, and send them to vfwpost3137@gmail.com so we can get it to the appropriate communications channels.
Don't forget to include links, images or other details relative to the story.

We can't publish what we don't know. So get active, be proactive, participate, do not procrastinate!
